Play Hard - Akiva Glashofer - Best game of the season. Played goal, scored a goal and played with intensity, making some key plays
Play Smart - Jacob Myers - Jacob has matured so much this year that he focuses on passing to his teammates, knowing that the results benefits the team
Be a Mensch - Zachary Goldberg - Zachary is so focused on defense and will either challenge the opposing player head on or kick the ball out of bounds. He is a tremendous defensive stopper.

Play Hard -- Sam "I will run and run and run" Friedman -- He played midfield all day and kept at it despite the team being down

Play Smart -- Ori "I love defense" Bernstein -- He kept playing defense and in the second half made some great saves

Mentsch -- Yaakov "I am part of a team" Levine -- He had a rough game but never complained and never blamed anyone but just kept trying his hardest.

Play Smart -- Our defense -- Yaakov, Ori and Avi. You all played great. Yaakov made 3 great saves and Avi and Ori took great angles to cut off the passing lanes

Play Hard -- Sam and Simon. They ran and played two way ball. Keep it up. (Shoot more, dribble less, though)

Mensch -- Tani and Aryeh. Consistently they leave the field with a smile on their face, win or lose. They embody sportsmanship.

Play Hard - Noah Green - Unbelievable goal play; did not give up a goal and stopped one ball by almost doing the splits
Play Smart - Zachary Goldberg - Loves defense; knows his role and plays it so well
Be a Mensch - Jacob Myers - The other coach told me that twice, Jacob went up to the ref and told him that the ball was off of him when the ref had called the ball of the oppement. Jacob is an amazing player, but it's these middot that Jacob and so many other players demonstrate that make this league what it is.

Play Hard -- Sam, Tani, and Ori. You guys hustled all over the place. Sam, you seemed like you were everywhere and Tani, you played mid to the max! Ori, you got into position well and frustrated Jacob all day, not an easy feat.

Play Smart -- Simon, Avi and Yaakov. Simon, you took some excellent angles and really had great field awareness. Avi, you knew where to pass and where not to and positioned yourself perfectly. Yaakov, you knew where the ball was at all times and had the presence of mind to be where you needed to be to block the goals.

Mensch -- Aryeh. Although you were a mid, I saw you hung back towards the later part of the game to help out more on defense and insure our victory. You never seek personal glory and always want to do whatever needs to be done. That is the very definition of a mensch.

Congratulations to all the players on a great season! Each of you contributed and each of you deserves individual recognition, but you also get a big Yasher Koach for the way in which you supported each other, relied on each other, and came together in the playoffs:

Adam Blitzstein - Adam was a stalwart at midfield and on defense this year, did a lot of great work moving the ball up on offense, and got better every game. He played very hard and consistenly when we needed him the most, he has a great attitude and is a pleasure to coach.

Ethan Dalva - Ethan gives new meaning to the expression "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." He is incredibly positive, he is not afraid to mix it up with the big guys, and his skill level increased dramatically this year.

Jacob Glassman - Jacob is fast, and tough and determined, and he is real mensch. This year, like last year, Jacob could have been a scorer, and this year like last year he responded to the request that he focus mostly on defense and goalie by doing a spectacular job on both. Tsfat Gold did not allow any goals in the three playoff games, and he is one of the big reasons why.

Evan Goldman - Evan is a relentless attacker. We asked him in the playoffs to be our workhorse up front, and he responded. Evan had 6 goals and had a beautiful assist in the playoffs. He scored many of his goals late in the games, when he pushed himself when he was tired and outnumbered. He never complains and is pleasure to coach.

Jonah Rifkin - Jonah responded enthusiastically to the request that he help anchor our middle defense in the playoffs. He saved his best playing of the year for the last two games, and did a terrific job attacking the ball, turning it around and moving it upfield.

Aaron Weiss - Aaron is our "dirt dog." He had many great saves at goalie and acrobatic tackles on defense, and he was extremely smart in disrupting the opponent's offense. Aaron also could have been a scorer, but he willingly and cheerfully traded statistics when he was asked to hang tough at goalie, on defense and in midfield.

Daniel Zweben - Daniel also played only defense and midfield in the playoffs. Like his teamates, he was positive and uncomplaining, and had no problem foregoing shots on goal to play back. He had many critical defensive stops the last two games, and squeeked in from midfield to get an assist and a goal in the Grand Final.
